Our client, a global construction company, is looking to appoint a successful Site Engineer to be based in Cabo Delgado. 

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly motivated Site Engineer to join our team and oversee construction quality assurance/quality control activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and approving all QA/QC procedures and documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Review and approval of all Construction QA/QC procedures and templates before the commencement of the respective construction activities, in accordance with the Project Documents, state of the art and good engineering practices. Including but not limited to:  

•    Project quality plan 

•    Field Quality Plans. (= inspection and test plan)  

•    Inspection Checklists  

•    Installation manuals  

•    Method of Statement 

•    Witnessing key quality checks and tests as described in Field quality plans. 

•    Review and approval of all Construction QC inspection records, in accordance with the approved Construction QA/QC plan.  

•    Issuance of the respective Mechanical Completion certificates.  

•    Submission of brief monthly report to the Owner detailing progress and areas of concern until completion.  

•    Review of Contractor’s Monthly Quality Report.  

•    Document controlling, including the sharing of documents through the Document.  

•    Management System, elaboration of transmittals, organization of the project internal folder (if different to the DMS), etc.  

•    Coordination, review and approval of Final Quality Dossier.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

•    3-5 years of construction site experience.

•    Familiarity with construction QA/QC procedures and industry standards.

•    Strong attention to detail and documentation management skills.

•    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

•    Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing site conditions.

•    Commitment to health and safety regulations.
