JOB TITLE: Pipelay Night Representative

Our client, a leading global provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Pipelay Night Representative to be based in Rio de Janeiro.
SERVICE DIMENSION
The night shift site representative shall be the COMPANY Project representative on installation vessel:
- To apply COMPANY HSE Standards and safety culture onboard the installation vessel
- To ensure that all approved procedures are implemented during the offshore operation or use Management of Change process for any modifications
- To supervise all offshore operation onboard the installation vessel (PLSV) during night shift
- To act as COMPANY focal point onboard the vessel with the COMPANY site representative (FPSO RSES) during night shift.
ACTIVITIES
Together with the site Manager, the services will be the focal point for all welding activities within the project team.
During the installation phase, the services shall support the CPY site team to :
- Review the relevant CONTRACTOR or SUPPLIER Documentation (Procedures, ITP, … ) In coordination with other disciplines.
- Seek optimization and savings all along the different phases of the project. To focus on costs without impairing HSEQ objectives.
H3SEQ
- The Service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behavior regarding H3SEQ rules and requirements and for ensuring that H3SEQ requirements are duly implemented within her/his area of responsibility.
- Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company H3SEQ standards
- Service Holder will have to contribute to H3SEQ permanent performance improvement and will have to participate actively in an ambitious H3SEQ culture deployment.
- Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
Services Activities:
- To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regards to COMPANY “Code of Conduct” and HSE rules and regulations. To implement HSE requirements and safety culture within his area of responsibility, and to comply with the required HSE training requirements for the services.
- To participate in the preparation of the offshore procedure (implementing feedback from previous operation)
- To follow up all offshore installation activities onboard the construction vessel (PLSV) including supply/barge activities, transfer of equipment, deck operation, MCV connection and testing, subsea umbilical and flexible lines laying activities, lifting operations, load out, Subsea ROV works and offshore pre commissioning and testing
- To verify that the agreed procedures are implemented during offshore activities and ensure that any modifications are covered by the Management of Change process
- Review, comment and sign, when satisfactory, the Daily Progress Report issued by the installation vessel management team.
- To communicate in accordance with the defined project procedures (during co activities or SIMOPS operations) and to ensure good transition and handover between the different shifts
- To ensure that the night shift activities performed by the vessel are following the planned schedule, any deviation shall be reported onshore for consideration and approval
- To review and report any nonconformance activities to the SURF manager and to follow up the related correctives and preventive measures
- To ensure adequate and timely reporting to the RSES-D by daily report.
- To ensure onboard the vessel that relevant traceability tables and inventory of equipment installed subsea are well maintained
- To be company representative onboard the installation vessel with the main objectives to ensure any COMOPS/SIMOPS activities and any emergency in accordance with the agreed Emergency Response Plan
- To ensure that relevant certificates / check list is ready and when relevant signed by COMPANY representative and MWS in due time (Ready for transportation, Ready for installation, Ready for Commissioning,)
- To coordinate with PLSV offshore team HIRA level 2 (Hazard Identification Risk Analysis) prior to the start of the operations.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
The services is part of the COMPANY South West Project team.
- The services reports to the RSES-D
- Direct reports (to be confirmed) o HSE supervisor (at night if any)
- Welding and NDT inspector (at night if any)
- Painting, Coating and thermal insulation inspector. (at night if any)
- MWS. (at night if any)
- Project engineer. (at night if any)
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
- Engineer/Offshore Supervisor with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry especially in SURF
- Knowledge of COMPANY CR, GS.
- Knowledge of Brazilian offshore regulations for marine, environment & NR.
- Deep knowledge of SIMOPS and HSE rules.
- Experience in a major EPCI Project.
- Able to identify, analyze and solve problems (HSE, technical, procurement, transportation, storage and preservation, engineering, construction, quality control, schedule, costs…)
- Construction background
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team and able to accept strong responsibilities
- Willing to contribute and adhere to the Safety and Environment requirements of the Project
- Experienced with a proper technical level of understanding of all the disciplines involved,
- Organizational skills and positive attitude but able to raise and defend her/his services in accordance with the Contract requirements
- Languages: Fluent Portuguese
Fluent English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of the following offshore operations:
- Risers Pull in Pull out
- Flexible lay
- Rigid pipelay
- Risers construction including Lazy wave and SHR
- Structures installation
- Working experience on Rigid lay vessel, PLSV, OSR.
