Position Overview
The Staff Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records for the Global Edge Group of companies. This position is responsible for ensuring reliable financial reporting, assisting in the development and maintenance of strong internal controls, and handling confidential financial matters with discretion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional stewardship and a commitment to financial excellence.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties
• Ensure accurate financial entries for the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Oversee and execute the monthly close process for multiple USA based or international entities.
• Analyze accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), revenue, and expenses to ensure proper monthly recording.
• Enter and translate multi-currency transactions accurately.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly operating expenses, balance sheet accruals, and variance analysis.
• Generate monthly cash flow reports and support financial planning.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and revised financial forecasts.
• Support the completion of regulatory filings and compliance reports, including international filings.
• Manage intercompany account reconciliations across multiple global entities.
• Collaborate with various functional departments and international offices within the Global Edge Group.
• Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of an efficient, high-performing accounting function.
• Perform additional financial, accounting, or administrative tasks as assigned by the CFO, CEO, or Controller, often on short notice.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the staffing or recruitment industry.
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Strong understanding of QuickBooks or NetSuite would be advantageous.
• Experience with payroll processing and global mobility/international accounting is a plus.
