Our team is currently looking for a Senior Construction Manager to work in the oil and gas industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Lead Site Safety and Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE)
• Lead and manage company site team(s) for completion of construction activities in accordance with project objectives, schedule, priorities, and contract specifications
• Serve as a member of the Project Team (PT) when the project is assigned
• Supervise on-site contractual administration and specification compliance
• Oversee the planning and execution of fabrication, construction, hookup, and mechanical completion
• Serve as company's single-point contact on-site for contractor site management
• Manage interfaces/interactions with contractors and other groups (e.g., engineering, systems completion, and production operations) regarding relationships and construction issues
• Report on progress, performance, initiatives, and issues to the Project Manager
• Report to Construction Support Manager with general updates, as needed
• When not project is assigned, support project construction site management with expertise as needed
In addition to all Level 1 tasks, a Level 2 Manager will:
• Lead development of construction execution philosophy and strategies through the development of construction execution plans
• Provide constructability input and guidance to design teams
• Manage construction-related interfaces/interactions with contractors and other company functional groups (e.g. engineering, systems completions, installation, etc.)
• Provide construction contractor oversight and support
• Resolve routine construction site issues locally and fairly; break down barriers to progress
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 10+ years’ experience in construction for Oil and Gas industry
• Strong understanding of typical construction sites and fabrication yard performance variables
• Competent skill levels in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Ability to travel internationally
• Able to collaborate with others in a fast-changing environment
