Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Financial Analyst to be based in Brasil.
ACTIVITIESThe services are in charge, under the supervision of the project control Manager, of all budget and cost control matters of the COMPANY Project development project (including Subsea EPCI Contract and FPSO TOPSIDES Modifications Contract).
• Missions are, in line with the directives provided by the Project Controls Manager, to:
• Develop, review and maintain the Project Budget and Cost Control procedures, including the cost/budget Reporting Procedure, the Invoicing Procedure, as per the Affiliate and the PJC Rules.
• Review the Project CBS (Cost Breakdown Structure) and ensure with the Planning Engineer this is compatible with the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
• Consolidate, control and coordinate all Budget and cost monitoring activities related to the Project, including the LOP (Life of Project) Budget, deduced yearly budgets and Estimated Final Cost (EFC).
• Ensure that all Project activities are correctly tracked and performed activities are validated, to allow the invoicing validation for payment treatment, throughout the whole project duration: monitoring of the commitments (initial contract price, provisional sums and change orders).
• Based on any potential slippage and critical path deviations, analyze and estimate the cost deviations/impacts.
• Comparison of actual costs to LOP, annual costs and deviations. Revision of LOP when/if required.
• Coordinate and consolidate Project Costs Reporting within the Project organization, as well as for external stakeholders (affiliate, headquarters, partners, authorities…).
• The services will:
• Update the project cost breakdown structure, whenever required.
• Elaborate, update and revise the Project Cost/Budget reporting.
• Follow closely the activities of the CONTRACTORS / SUPPLIERS Cost Control engineer(s).
• Monitor closely the CONTRACTOR’s Costs/Invoicing reports.
• Check and comment on the CONTRACTORS and SUPPLIERS Cost / Budgeting procedures.
• Provide assistance to the Project Manager and the Project Control Manager for all matters related to the Budget & Cost reporting, as well as analyses and simulations of cost deviations/impacts and updates of the LOP Budget.
• Participate in reviews and technical audits on Cost activities.
• Provide detailed and accurate monthly Cost reporting (to be incorporated into the monthly project report).
• Collaborate with Project Planning Engineer for validation of CONTRACTOR invoicing linked to progress and milestones, as per CONTRACT.
• Assist Affiliate FINANCE structure (Cost Control, Accounting, Payments) for integration of Project Cost reporting and invoicing treatment.
• Monitoring of the RFS costs and payment schedule.
• To fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions.
• To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
• To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose ways of improvement.
• To participate when requested in any technical reviews such as COMOPS, SIMOPS, Hazids, Hazops, Project Technical Reviews, Risk Assessments when schedule inputs are required.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED• Degree in finance, business administration or related areas.
• At least 10 years’ experience in large oil & gas projects with strong technical, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Very good knowledge of SAP System.
• Cost Control reporting using SAP.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; good communication skills.
• Rigorous and organized
• Full proficiency of Excel and English.
