Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Monitoring & Evaluation Officer to based in Pemba.
Responsibilities:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our programs and initiatives, working under the direct supervision of the head of program and in close coordination with the communication and reporting function. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing M&E frameworks, collecting and analyzing data, and providing insights to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our organization's values and objectives.
• Develop and Implement M&E Frameworks: Design and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks and plans to track the progress and impact of our programs.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to assess program performance and outcomes.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed and concise reports on program achievements, challenges, and lessons learned for internal and external stakeholders.
• Capacity Building: Provide training and support to team members and partners with the best M&E practices and tools.
• Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with program staff to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in program design and implementation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and beneficiaries to ensure alignment and accountability.
Qualifications:
• Education: A degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably within the non-profit or the private sector.
• Skills: Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R), excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational abilities. Knowledge of Power BI.
